I am a Professor of Economics at the University of Salzburg, focusing on Bayesian time series econometrics and its applications in macroeconomics and finance. Prior to joining the University of Salzburg, I held an assistant professor position at WU Wien and worked as an economist in the foreign research division (AUSA) of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB).
I am the deputy head of the Department of Economics, a scientific consultant to the OeNB, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Commission, Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Econometrics (from 2026) and the International Journal of Forecasting, and research fellow of the Baffi Center at Bocconi University.
My research has been published in international top journals such as the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, the Journal of Econometrics, the International Economic Review, the Journal of Applied Econometrics, and the European Economic Review, among others.
